Janis in Wonderland (Matinee)

Many years ago a young girl, Alice, went for a walk to the local mines. When she hadn't returned home by dark, her family became worried and went looking for her but to no avail. They searched high and low for her. She had just disappeared, vanished into thin air... or as they suspect, fell down a mine shaft. Even the local SES and CFS went in search of her. But in the end they gave up and all went home to a cup of tea and toast. Poor Alice.

But this story is not about Alice. Some years later another young girl, called Janis, bored with life, bored with her devices, bored with her home life, bored with her family, bored with her friends, decided to go for a walk to the local mine. As you can see, it's a popular place. The scenery was amazing, huge holes, the air fresh and crisp and the sky was ablaze with red and orange streaks. But Janis did not care, no she did not care one little bit and as she walked she got bored with that too. She came across a curious thing. It was a rabbit. Ah, but this was no ordinary rabbit. This was a weird, strange, huge rabbit. He wore a coat and pants and a hat. He was jumping about and shouting out, "Oh dear, I am preposterously late. Indeed, preposterously late. Oh, no, no, no." She called out to him. He ignored her. He began to bounce off, so she decided to chase after him. But in doing so, she didn't see the hole in the ground and tumbled down a mine shaft after him landing in a very curious place. She needed to find the rabbit and find her way home. Oh, what amazing things she would see and what adventures she would have...
